OnOneMap Becomes UK's Fastest Growing Property Website

OnOneMap, the UK's first property search engine map, has launched a facility that enables estate agents to upload their listings to the OnOneMap site for free. OnOneMap aims to provide home hunters a place where they can see all of the property for sale in their area, on one map.
Since OnOneMap's launch last month, estate agents have been contacting the site in droves requesting their properties be listed on the site. Due to the high level of interest, OnOneMap's technical wizard Andrew Betts has added a feature that allows agents to add their listings to the site. The process is simple, as there is no need to install software or sign a contract. The agent simply fills in an Excel spreadsheet and emails it to OnOneMap. Their properties will appear on the OnOneMap site automatically within a few hours.
"OnOneMap has just one aim – to be the most usable, effective and comprehensive way to search for property. The one million website hits in the first weeks of launching confirms that we have crafted a service people love, and now we’re focused on getting every single property in the country OnOneMap" says Andrew.
He continues: "In addition to the listings that estate agents submit, we automatically add many properties by scouring the Internet for property information. There are currently over 120,000 properties listed on the site but I expect this to rise to more than 200,000 in the coming weeks."
How does OnOneMap work?
OnOneMap makes searching for a home to buy easier than ever before. The search engine displays all the properties that it can find for sale in the user’s selected location on one map and provides a summary of property details.
By visiting www.ononemap.com users can zoom in on the map or type in a postcode or place name and the map will display the exact location of each property that meets the user’s search criteria.
All the properties for sale are represented by a red house icon that, when clicked, brings up basic information such as number of bedrooms, price and a thumbnail picture. Users can then click on a link that takes them to the website on which more detailed property information can be found.
In addition, the user can choose to look at their selected area in more detail. The site enables the user to see the listed properties in order of their proximity to tube and train stations or schools. This is the first service of its kind in the UK.
OnOneMap is completely free to use and totally independent, letting potential buyers get an instant idea of what is currently available in their desired location.
